Course Description

Video Marketing – 8 Weeks (Fridays) 9 am – 10:30 am – Starts May 5th

How to get started using video marketing tools. Learn how to properly and effectively use Facebook Live (Mobile & Desktop), Instagram Stories & Instagram Live, YouTube & YouTube Live (for landing page videos or any other video ads, vlogs, etc.) Learn how to use video tools for shooting, editing, and output. Learn about tools to help you market on YouTube. Guest speakers will also present on how to deliver your best video to showcase your personal brand. All things video to supercharge your social media marketing strategy.

Week One: Introduction to Video Marketing
We’ll guide you through the basics of why video marketing is important and why you should be utilizing it in your marketing strategy. We’ll also help you create your own video marketing game plan.

Week Two: Introduction to Shooting
Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned selfie-taker, you’ll learn a thing or two from this hands-on class that guides you through shooting video. No special equipment required, just bring something that takes video!

Week Three: Introduction to Video Editing
You’ll not only learn how to edit video you shoot, but you’ll also learn how to use tools and resources to create videos from stock images and video content.

Week Four: Body Language, Voice and Tone
Learn how to conduct yourself on video in a way that’s con dent and projects the type of body language, voice and tone you want for your brand and business from guest speaker Michelle Goulet.

Class Act Theatre is owned and operated by Michelle Goulet, and is located in Timmins, Ontario. Michelle is a graduate of Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario, where she earned her English Degree (Rhetoric & Media Studies), and her Theatre Arts Certi cate from Thorneloe University. An active member in Community theatre groups in Sudbury and Timmins for over 15 years, Michelle has experience Acting, Directing, Producing, and Playwriting.

Week Five: Live Video: Speaking with Confidence
You’ll get lessons from toastmaster Lisa Wilson of L.M.W Coaching/ Consulting/Mediation on how to speak with confidence and stay calm under pressure during live videos.

With close to 20 years of Human Resources Experience, Lisa Wilson is no stranger to communication. Dealing with everyone from the boardroom to the shop floor, Lisa has had to learn to communicate with a variety of people in a variety of settings. Public speaking was always an issue for her, taking courses didn’t seem to help. It wasn’t until she discovered Toastmasters that she was able to get over her fears and build her confidence. Now in her business as a Coach, Human Resources Consultant and Mediator, she speaks regularly in front of an audience and can communicate clearly whether there has been time to prepare or not.

Week Six: Facebook Live
Facebook live is such a robust tool for video marketing that isn’t being used by many marketers. Learn how you can engage your fans with live video in a way that your competitors may not.

Week Seven: Instagram Video, Stories & Live
Instagram is a visual platform and has three different forms of presenting video content that you’ll learn to use and master.

Week Eight: YouTube & YouTube Live
YouTube is ALL video and with this class you’ll learn how to optimize your videos for the best reach and engagement of your fans, including using the live video feature.
