Course Description

Starter Company is aimed at young entrepreneurs aged 18 to 29 who are not returning to school and are interested in starting, purchasing, or expanding a business as their full-time occupation. While the program is targeted to young entrepreneurs, anyone is welcome to enroll in the workshops. At the conclusion of the program, the participants will have completed a full and detailed business plan and cash flow projection with which they can apply for funding or financing. Eligible participants are also encouraged to apply for a Starter Company grant of up to $5,000 towards their businesses.
This program is free for all participants and provides a valuable opportunity to develop their business ideas while drawing on a variety of experienced and professional resources. The workshops are also offered online, so entrepreneurs throughout northeastern Ontario are encouraged to participate. Note that this intake’s workshops will be conducted in English, with support resources offered in both English and French. Future workshops may be conducted in French if there is sufficient interest. In the meantime, entrepreneurs who would prefer to receive training in French are encouraged to contact us to discuss options.
