Course Description

Northern Training Division has partnered with Kidd Operations to offer the new Basic Underground Hard Rock Miner Common Core program through the Northern School of Hard Rock Mining. Participants enrolled will complete a modular training program designed to ensure that all of the core competencies identified in the MTCU Modular Training Standards for Basic Underground Hard Rock Miner Common Core are completed.

All training will be held in-house at Kidd mine at 2400L training center. Training includes: staging, rock bolting, scaling, lock and tagging, blasting, mucking, drilling and more. All this will be delivered through blended learning, with a combination of instructor-based, video, in-field training and self learning with an assessment component (written and practical).
