Course Description

This two-year program covers the general concepts required for the industrial millwright field, such as: safety, mathematics, AutoCAD, measuring instruments, lubricants, welding, electricity, bearings, pumps, compressors, rigging and hydraulics.

Furthermore, international competition by Canadian companies has introduced to the industry a range of specialized processes, such as computer-assisted laser alignment, programmable automatons, and vibration analysis. Graduates of this program have the knowledge and abilities required to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all types of mechanical materials, hydraulic systems, conveyors, pumps, compressors, material handling systems and drive systems.

Finally, this program follows the standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities for levels Basic 1, Intermediate 2, and Advanced 3 for the apprenticeship in the industrial millwright trade.
