How to Develop a Social Media Strategy – 10 Weeks (Thursdays) 9 am – 10:30 am – Starts May 4th

Learn how to evaluate which platforms are best for your business and how to get started with them. Platforms covered: Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube. Learn how to develop a cross- platform marketing strategy. Learn which tools can help you manage all of your social accounts. Develop tactics to implement your strategy. Learn how to write copy that generates clicks and leads. Understand online lead and sales funnels. BONUS: Special speaker Javed Khan from Empression will give a full day workshop for the LinkedIn class!

Week One: Introduction to Social Media Marketing
There is a lot to social media marketing and we’ll ease you into it with this intro class where you’ll also learn how to set your marketing goal.

Week Two: Content Curation and Creation
Content is King! Explore different options for content and create a strategy around what content you’ll share. Plus learn about special free tools you can use to organize and schedule your content.

Week Three: Facebook
A crash course on how Facebook marketing works and a walkthrough on creating a marketing strategy for the platform that works for your business.

Week Four: Twitter
Learn how this quick-moving platform can help you connect to your audience and create opportunities for conversions.

Week Five: LinkedIn (FULL DAY WORKSHOP – Includes lunch)
Join us for guest speaker and LinkedIn expert, Javed from Empression: A Marketing Services Company, who will show you how to create meaningful connections on LinkedIn that turn into real results for your business. This is a full day workshop (8 hours) with lunch included.

Javed became a small business advocate having seen numerous businesses with faltering marketing plans and initiatives. [He] sees himself as a pilot – staying on top of trends, new ideas and technologies and from this birds-eye view, distilling information into
concrete elements that entrepreneurs can implement.

Week Six: Instagram
Especially for those already marketing on Facebook, Instagram is a great platform to use for social media marketing. Learn how you can use this platform to generate leads and increase website traffic.

Week Seven: YouTube
Video marketing is only becoming bigger as time goes on. In this class, we’ll teach you how to optimize your marketing results using YouTube videos.

Week Eight: Pinterest
We’ll show you how sharing content and creating the right kind of custom content can lead to increased website traffic via this very visual platform.

Week Nine: Email Marketing
Learn how to get set up to start collecting emails for marketing and go through a hands-on workshop of creating your own leads landing page and email campaign.

Week Ten: Auditing and Updating Your Strategy
A huge part of social media marketing is tracking your performance and learning how to improve. You’ll learn how to critically audit your social media accounts and we’ll share some common mistakes made with each platform and strategies to overcome them.
